How to Use EyeQuestion's Image and Video Upload Feature in Questionnaires
In this
article, we will explore how a panelist can upload an image or a video when
answering an EyeQuestion questionnaire.
EyeQuestion
offers two specific question types that enable participants to upload
multimedia files in a questionnaire. These question types are
especially useful for capturing the participant's experience in real-time or
recording their impressions of a product. The two question types are image
upload and video upload.
Video
Upload(available from version 5.7)
To add a
video upload question to your questionnaire, you can search for the question
type in the question library or find it in the 04. Special Questions folder.
Depending on the questionnaire's design, the video upload question may be asked
for each product included in the design or only at the start or end of the
questionnaire.
If you add
the question type to the design section of the questionnaire, participants will
be able to upload a video linked to each product in the design. If you add the
question type to the start or end section, participants can upload a video at
the beginning and/or end of the questionnaire.
When
participants fill in the questionnaire, they will be prompted to either record
a video directly from the application or upload a video previously recorded
with their device. It is important to note that the video quality may vary
depending on the participant's device settings and that only videos up to 200MB
can be uploaded.
Image Upload
Similarly,
to the Upload Video question type the Upload Image question type can also be
found in the 04. Special Questions folder.
By adding
this questiontype in the questionnaire, panelists will be able to upload an
image to a questionnaire similarly as the uploading a video. It is important to note that the image quality
may vary depending on the participant's device settings and that only images up
to 5MB can be uploaded.
How to download
the images/video
Once the
data has been collected, the images and video can be exported to the export section
of the software in the Project>Zipped Media. The raw data will provide information on the file uploaded,
and the zipped media folder will contain the uploaded images and videos that
can be downloaded. The file name will include the panelist's login key (the
login key associated to your panelists username can be found in the Session tab
of your project), the product number, the replicate number (if question was
included in the design section), the session number and the question number.
There is also an option to send zipped media to a user by email. In this case a user will receive a link to download the media files. This option can be used if the zipped media folder is big and takes time to download.
